2026 KALACHAKRA Sand Mandala

Mount Shasta City Park Headwaters (Lower Lodge)
This display of “Art in the Park” is an example of one of the least created Mandalas in traditional Tibetan Monastic practices. It is easy to say that this is a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity for most people. It is so special that it requires the Dalai Lama’s permission to create it.

Dr. Tenzin Yangdon founder of White Tara Tibetan Healing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dr. Tenzin Yangdon graduated in 1992 from MenTsee Khang, Tibetan medical college in Dharamsala India; she studied traditional Tibetan herbal medicine, acupuncture and holistic Tibetan healing. Dr.Yangdon practiced for many years under Doctor Kunga Gyurmey Ngarongsha (the personal physician of His Holiness the Dalai Lama).

“MYSTIC MOUNTAIN: An Untold Legend of the Lost Kingdom of Tibet.” Movie
“Mystic Mountain” is a psychological thriller/drama about a son’s search for his father’s dead body and daughter’s longing for her father’s love. The film is set in the past, in a village tucked into the folds of the Himalayan Mountains. It was shot high in the Himalayas in the Mustang region of Nepal. Film is in Tibetan with English subtitles.
Tsering Dhondup, is the writer and director of “Mystic Mountain”. He was born in Lhasa, Tibet and fled to India when he was 10 years old.

Monday 20th - “Understanding Life Through a Meaningful Story”
Geshe Dawa teaches in English using simple words that create clear concepts. He has become a favorite of many in Mount Shasta.
